For this session of the beginner knitting class we will be working on making this cute knit bag- a cute over the shoulder small purse bag. We will review the basics: knit, purl, cast-on, bind off.
New and returning knitters are both welcome in the class.
Join Peggy Orlando in learning and reviewing the basics of knitting in this 4-week series.
We do have lots of yarn available (if you want to bring your own- we are using an acrylic worsted weight yarn, like “red thread”). email if you have questions at info@hollisartspace.com
Students will knit in class - with mentorship from Peggy, and will be able to take their work home week to week to keep practicing on their way to independent knitting.

Cost $110
Materials cost $15 (includes one skein of yarn and knitting needles). If additional yarn is needed, students can purchase from area stores. All materials provided.

PEGGY ORLANDO
This class is co-taught by Peggy Orlando, who lives in Brookline. Peggy organizes knitting groups locally and has a wealth of experience and knowledge in knitting and fiber arts. She loves to travel to different places to obtain yarn from the local sheep and spinners, , and creates many knitted creations for friends, for family and even for dogs!! Peggy brings a lot of experience to the class and is excited to share her knowledge and help you along the way to making your own knitted creations!
